Summer Success Institute is hiring exceptional educators for our 8-week summer program in Sarasota. While our full program runs June through July, we offer flexible scheduling. You do not need to commit to all eight weeks. We can work with varying availability depending on your schedule.

This is not a typical summer camp. We are an educator-led enrichment program built around character development, leadership, and meaningful relationships. Our team is made up of certified professionals who believe in high expectations, strong classroom culture, and creating an environment where every child feels valued and loved.

Duties

  • Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper behavior management techniques and supervising campers during all activities.
  • Manage classroom or activity spaces efficiently, ensuring materials are prepared and organized for each session.
  • Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly.
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by adapting activities and providing personalized attention.
  • Foster positive relationships with campers to promote emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules, coordinate activities, and ensure smooth camp operations.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, summer camps, or tutoring environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies to support diverse needs.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during all camp activities (can be provided).
  • Background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields enhances your ability to connect with campers effectively.
  • Demonstrated skills in classroom management, sports coaching, babysitting, theater arts, or childcare roles will be considered strong assets.
  • Experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds helps create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
