Summer Day Camp Director

Start Date: June 22nd through August 21st 2026

The Summer Day Camp Director oversees the day to day operation of the day camp including counselors, supervision of students, program quality, policy and procedures, risk management, parent concerns and complaints, daily program scheduling, assistance with participant account management and all other duties as requested by the Program Coordinator. Director will also be responsible for coordinating any grounds maintenance or upkeep.

The Camp Director position requires administrative and leadership duties such as communicating with partnering organizations and attending training sessions during the month of June, as well as facilitating two full days of all-staff orientation and training before camp begins and all weekly staff meetings.

The imcumbant must have basic computer, good phone ettique, and strong interpersonal skills. Preference will be given if enrolled in college w/ a preferred major in Education, Kineseology, child or human development or other related field.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and monitor a staff of 6 – 8 camp counselors and assistant director
  • Structure and coordinate pre-summer and ongoing training for all staff
  • Assist in pre-summer camp planning and organization
  • Communicate with parents, community partners, and other outside liaisons prior to and throughout the summer
  • Monitor the health and safety of all campers and staff
  • Manage overall program content and structure

Requirements:

21 years of age with 2 years of leadership responsibilities.
