Job Description
Join CPD and dive into the world of recruiting and social media advertising!
As a Recruiting and Social Media Intern, you’ll assist our recruiter at recruiting events, designing posts for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), other various administrative tasks in the Background Investigations Unit.
What You’ll Do:
  • Assisting at recruiting events with our department recruiter.
  • Designing advertisements and postings for our social media accounts.
  • Help with filming or taking photographs of our department personnel performing their duties.
  • Following up with potential applicants via phone calls and emails.
  • Assist detectives with compiling their required documents for each applicant.
  • Ensure required information for each applicant is updated on the tracking spreadsheets.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Possess social media interest
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism


Students participating in the Internship Program will be responsible for the following:
  • Providing their own transportation to and from work.
  • Arriving at the work site at the time designated by the worksite supervisor.
  • Performing the tasks assigned by the vocational instructor/coordinator and the worksite supervisor in an efficient manner.
  • Demonstrating honesty, punctuality, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, appropriate dress, and a willingness to learn.
  • Conforming to the guidelines of the internship worksite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree or having an interest in a criminal justice related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional and confidential environment


The ideal candidate is a college student, 18 years of age or older, in good standing, who possess an interest in Marketing, good understanding of all the social media platforms and everything they have to offer or a possible future in a law enforcement upon graduation.
