Versant Health: Making Healthy Vision a Reality for Everyone

Scope and Purpose of Position:
Reporting to the Head of Brand Activation & Market Enablement, this candidate will play a critical role in the ongoing development of a suite of digital-first, graphics-rich editorial content that supports Versant Health’s brand story across its platforms. They will also provide support on corporate-sponsored in-market activations that help our sales teams and their health plan stakeholders deliver action-oriented eye health messaging to clients, prospects, and consumers.

Location Requirements:
  • Preference for candidates in the Chicago metro area
  • Remote work assignment
  • Occasional in-person sessions with direct management (if local), plus 1-2 potential travel opportunities to support an activation, contingent on event timing
Essential Functions:
  • Assist in brand strategy and market enablement activities with special focus on creating content that supports stakeholders that include enterprise communications, sales, client management, supply chain, and provider experience
  • Provide event planning support for go-to-market activation events – inclusive of pre-event and potential on-site support (contingent on event timing)
  • Draft content for corporate platforms, including social media, corporate website, member education portals, and client engagement channels. Assets include social media and email templates, blogs, infographics, slip sheets, and PPT slides
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Support the marketing and communications team in daily administrative tasks
Educational Requirements:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program
  • Master’s degree candidates considered
  • Preferred field of study: Marketing (concentrations that include brand strategy, market research, digital content, social media), Communications (corporate communications, PR)
  • Required school classifications: Current Juniors and Seniors only
  • Required GPA: 3.0 and above
Experience:
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of design software/programs such as Canva and Adobe Creative (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Basic understanding of web content management systems like WordPress, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint
Competencies:
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
