Job Title: Summer Reading Associate (330 hr./Non-Exempt/Part-time)
Location: Main Library, Children’s Department
Starting Pay Range: $17.51- $21.53 hourly (commensurate with experience)

About the Position:
As a Summer Reading Associate, you will support the operation of the Summer Reading Challenge by maintaining the sign-up station, taking SRC to summer school classrooms and working with volunteers. Additionally, you will assist in a wide range of Summer Reading Challenge activities.
Position Schedule
Note: Required to work on June 6 (Summer Reading Kickoff), June 14 (Crew Event), and July 10–11 (Columbus Book Festival).

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles (e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, and/or working in moderate outdoor weather conditions).
Work requires occasional lifting or pushing of up to 20 lbs. and the frequent lifting or pushing of up to 10 lbs.
