Summer Teaching Assistant Position

During the summer months from late June through mid-August, we are seeking two (2) Teacher Assistants to support our reading, writing, math, and spelling classes (please visit our website to view our class schedule).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning, mopping, sanitizing, organizing the classroom, and working collaboratively with the teaching team to maintain a healthy and supportive learning environment for children.

To be considered for the Summer Teaching Assistant position, candidates must be available for training during the Spring Quarter (April–June). Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week (any day of the week) during April, May, and June, and be prepared to support our summer classroom from June 22 through August 14.

These part-time summer positions follow a Monday–Friday schedule for 8 weeks, with shifts of 10:15 AM – 3:15 PM or 11:15 AM – 4:15 PM.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in college and comfortable using Google Meet and Google Classroom
• Strong understanding of children’s learning and social behaviors
• Comfortable assisting children when they are crying or need help, including escorting them to the bathroom when necessary
• Punctual, responsible, and fluent in English
• Must have a reliable vehicle for commuting to work

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
