The Summer Transportation Planning and Evaluation Associate will support the analytical efforts aimed at examining the evolution in satisfaction and preferences of Transit App users in the U.S. regions that implemented bus network redesigns (BNRs) in the last 3 years. Specifically, they will use spatial and data analysis tools to examine the evolution of preferences of Transit App users collected via in-app surveys while controlling for changes in transit and land use interaction as captured by transit accessibility to jobs proxy in respective regions.
Required skills:
Advanced GIS analysis and visualization skills;
Advanced data processing and analysis skills using statistical programming languages, like R or Python;
Experience with transit planning and operations data;
Experience in writing for academic journals.
Work will be performed on-campus, up to 15 hours per week ($20/hour) for approximately 2.5 months between May 18, 2026 and August 22, 2006 (start and end dates are flexible between these dates). Work schedule and other arrangements will be determined at a later date. A background check will be completed at time of hire.
