Summer Undergraduate Intern (full-time)

Coker is seeking self-motivated undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in healthcare consulting, with a focus on data analytics, physician services, valuations, information technology, revenue cycle, and performance improvement. This paid internship will offer personal and professional growth, providing exposure to a range of healthcare consulting services while learning new tools and gaining real-world experience.

This internship is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and an interest in healthcare business operations. Interns will have the opportunity to work on both short-cycle projects and longer-term assignments that will help develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assist consultants with the delivery of project work across various healthcare consulting areas, including data analytics, physician services, valuations, IT, revenue cycle, and performance improvement.
• Contribute to drafting client-facing materials and deliverables.
• Deepen knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) while assisting in the preparation of final deliverables.
• Learn and utilize data analysis tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and Alteryx to enhance data-driven insights.
• Design and present data findings using charts, graphs, and tables in clear and understandable formats for internal teams.
• Support data manipulation and dataset preparation for client engagement analytics.
• Assist in research and analysis related to healthcare business challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project teams and client needs.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Health Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Availability to commit 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to work on-site at Coker offices and client locations as required.
• Able to complete a 10–12-week internship during the [fall/spring/summer] semester.

Location/Travel:

• The position is based at Coker’s office in Alpharetta or Nashville.
• Interns must be available to work at the office and local client sites as needed.
