Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth
• Implement age-appropriate programs including sports, arts, theater, or educational tutoring sessions
• Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper behavior management and adhering to safety protocols such as first aid procedures
• Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching methods and collaborating with special education staff
• Foster positive relationships with participants through active engagement
• Manage classroom or activity spaces efficiently to ensure smooth transitions and organized sessions
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding participant progress and behavior when necessary

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or teenagers in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices appreciated
• Skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain) to ensure safety during activities
• Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and adolescents in a supportive manner
• Passion for mentoring youth and fostering their personal growth through engaging activities
