At Middle Street Construction, every team member plays a pivotal role in driving the company and their individual project success. As a Superintendent, you'll oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on problem-solving across various areas of construction management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead site safety initiatives, fostering a zero-incident culture.

Own the day‑to‑day field execution, ensuring work is installed safely, correctly, and in the right sequence to maintain schedule.

Coordinate and direct subcontractors in the field, resolving conflicts, clarifying scope, and keeping production flowing.

Maintain jobsite safety and compliance, enforcing company standards, correcting unsafe conditions, and leading daily/weekly safety routines.

Drive schedule performance by managing look‑aheads, identifying constraints early, and pushing trades to meet milestones.

Ensure quality control in the field, verifying installations against plans/specs and addressing deficiencies immediately.

Maintain jobsite organization and readiness, including logistics, access, cleanliness, inspections, and material staging.

Serve as the primary field communicator, keeping the PM informed of risks, delays, manpower issues, and field impacts.

Serve as the on-site point of contact for owners, design teams, and governing authorities.

In situational roles, work as an areas superintendent to manage portions of an overall project. Work for lead superintendent to achieve success on overall project.

Handle project documentation, including schedules, daily reports, and change orders.

Support project closeout processes, including punch lists and final inspections.

Assist Project Manager on pursuits, procurement, and preparation for upcoming projects.

Various additional responsibilities to support the overall execution of the project.

Accountability

The superintendent position is ultimately accountable for safety, quality, and schedule on Middle Street Construction projects, and the budgets associated with those portions of the work.
Working Environment
