Supermarket Refrigeration/HVAC Alarm Monitoring Technician

Growing company is seeking to fill 1 position of Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring Technician for client after-hours / night shift (9 pm PST - 5 am PST). IntelAlarm Monitoring team is responsible for 24-hour monitoring of customer refrigeration (including compressor racks, Walk-in box and case temperatures and pressures), HVAC, and related mechanical systems and dispatching service contractors to troubleshoot and make repairs. As a Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring (RAM) Specialist, you have the opportunity to prevent refrigerated product loss, protect food integrity, reduce energy consumption, and contribute to the reduction of refrigeration repair and maintenance expenses through the use of building controls technology, analytics, and problem solving techniques. The RAM Specialist also communicates with customer facility maintenance personnel and retail store leadership (when required) to notify them of emergency alarm conditions and the underlying issue. In some cases technician will provide continued follow-up with vendors and stores until the issue is fully resolved.

• Self starter who takes initiative to complete job functions and can manage their time effectively.

Education / Experience

• Minimum of Associates degree with a preference for Bachelor's Degree in engineering or science or 5 years equivalent experience as an engineer in refrigeration related position, commercial refrigeration field repair technician, or commercial refrigeration service manager.
• Mechanical aptitude with advanced knowledge of supermarket refrigeration and refrigeration controls equipment (controllers, I/O Boards, VFD's, etc.). Experience with CO2 transcritical booster refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and control of various HVAC systems and equipment including package rooftops, DOAS, VRF and WSHP.
• Extensive experience with Copeland supermarket control systems for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize Copeland enterprise software to monitor, triage, and act upon alarms generated from the supermarket control system.
• Dispatch work orders to repair technicians based upon alarm information and triage work.
• Document completed tasks in custom applications and MS Office software.
• Potential minor programming of control systems for repairs and achieve various operational goals (such as energy savings).
• Project management of specialty controls related projects (occasional).
• Assist teammates and communicate clearly both start/end of shift handoff information.
• Provide coverage for teammates lunches, breaks and vacations when applicable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
