Supermarket supervisor

We are looking for an organized and reliable Supermarket Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our store. The supervisor will ensure that the store runs efficiently, staff members are well-managed, and customers have a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a focus on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of supermarket staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Oversee the stocking, organizing, and merchandising of products according to store standards.
• Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Provide leadership and training to new and existing employees, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders and conducting stock checks to ensure product availability.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed and maintain a secure environment.
• Assist in managing the opening and closing of the store, including cash register reconciliation and securing the premises.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
• Implement promotional campaigns and ensure proper display and pricing of items.
• Help manage the staff schedule and ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours.
• Report any maintenance, supply, or security issues to the management team.
• Support the manager in achieving store goals, such as sales targets and customer satisfaction levels.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or supermarket operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle customer concerns with professionalism.
• Knowledge of store management software and inventory systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, as required.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Standing for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously in a busy retail environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
