Supervised Visitation Monitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supervise Visitation Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our care. This position requires a strong understanding of child welfare, family law, and crisis intervention strategies. The Monitor will work closely with children, families, and various stakeholders to provide support and guidance in challenging situations. It should be noted that the monitor is expected to transport children to and from the family interactions. Transportation time is paid, and we are hiring for first and second shifts.

Duties

  • Supervise and monitor interactions between children and their families to ensure safety and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Conduct regular assessments of family dynamics and individual needs to identify areas for support.
  • Facilitate communication between children, families, and service providers to promote understanding and cooperation.
  • Implement conflict management strategies to address any issues that arise during visits or interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents, and progress reports for each case.
  • Collaborate with social workers, child protective services, and other professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed to de-escalate situations and ensure the emotional well-being of all parties involved.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development related to child welfare, behavioral health, and social work practices.
  • Transport children to and from family interactions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in social work, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with children in childcare settings or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of child welfare policies, family law regulations, and child protective services processes is essential.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
  • A compassionate approach towards working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is beneficial.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while adhering to legal requirements regarding reporting obligations.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
