The Residential Security is responsible for safeguarding the residence, Principal, family, guests, and staff. This position requires continuous security coverage, monitoring of surveillance systems, conducting perimeter inspections, and responding promptly to potential threats or incidents. Residential Security Agents are expected to be proactive, highly observant, and adept at managing emergencies while upholding standards of discretion and professionalism.
Duties
- Monitoring security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access controls, to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Conducting regular perimeter checks to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Managing access control, verifying visitors, staff, and deliveries, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the property.
- Providing physical security presence, patrolling the property, and maintaining a strong deterrent against intrusions or threats.
- Responding to security incidents, such as break-ins, trespassing, or disturbances, and coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.
- Implementing emergency response protocols, including fire drills, medical emergencies, and evacuation procedures.
- Conducting security advances for planned events, ensuring the safety of guests and property.
- Operating secure transportation for clients and family members when needed.
- Protecting confidentiality and privacy, preventing leaks of sensitive information regarding the client's residence, routines, or security measures.
- Working closely with other security personnel, household staff, and local law enforcement to ensure comprehensive protection.
- Documenting incidents, writing detailed security reports, and providing recommendations for enhancing security measures.
Requirements
- Strong situational awareness and ability to identify potential threats before they escalate.
- Excellent observation skills to detect unusual activity or security vulnerabilities.
- Crisis management and quick decision-making abilities, ensuring a rapid and effective response to emergencies.
- Physical fitness and defensive tactics training, allowing you to handle threats effectively if necessary.
- Firearms proficiency and knowledge of state/local laws regarding armed security operations.
- Effective communication skills, allowing coordination with security teams, household staff, and law enforcement.
- Discretion and professionalism, ensuring client privacy and confidentiality are maintained.
- Ability to work long hours independently or as a part of a small team, nights, weekends, and holidays, security coverage is typically required 24/7.
- Basic medical response training, such as First Aid, CPR, and trauma care, to handle medical emergencies.
- Technical proficiency in security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm monitoring.
- Attention to detail, ensuring no gaps in security coverage and all protocols are followed precisely.
- Experience operating watercraft or the ability to learn is mandatory
- Strong swimming ability with regular training required
- Ability to operate equipment. (Towing, snowplow, snow blower, etc)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–3 years of security or protective services experience.
- Preferred: Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field.
- Preferred: Executive protection training or law enforcement/military background.
- Experience working with high-profile or high-net-worth clients is a plus.
Certifications, Training, and Licenses
- Must pass the company qualification before hire and quarterly to maintain in good standing.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (advanced medical training, such as TCCC or EMT, is a plus).
- Defensive tactics and de-escalation training.
- Defensive driving certification, if secure transportation is part of your responsibilities.

Schedule and Work Environment:
4‑day work week with 10‑hour shifts
