Why does the job exist?

The Supervisor, Business Operations will:
Maintain all documents related to Managed Care Organization (MCO) contracts including amendments and revisions to the MCO contracts, Managed Care Policy Manual, and MCO Letters of Direction;

Maintain and revise applicable policies and procedures related to these activities;

Interact and collaborate with other Bureaus, Health Care Authority (HCA) Divisions and other state departments;

Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and other materials;

Perform as the point of contact for Managed Care Oversight Bureau (MCOB) for the legislative session and will gather information for federal and state
agencies, Legislative Finance Committee (LFC) and for the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) requests.

How does it get done?

The Supervisor, Business Operations is responsible for:
Managing MCO contract amendments, Managed Care Policy Manual revisions, and Letters of Direction;

Oversight and tracking of MCO rate sheets, penalties, and deliverables;

Developing and implementing policies and procedures.

Who are the customers?

Medicaid recipients;

Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and providers;

Medical Assistance Division (MAD);

Other state and federal agencies.

Minimum Qualification

Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and two (2) years of directly related job experience operating within parameters and guidelines in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.

Must obtain a Defensive driving certification
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
