Job Description

The role of a Farm Supervisor is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and productivity of agricultural endeavors. Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate day to day farm operations and activities.
• Supervise and provide direction to a team of farm workers.
• Oversee planting, fertilizing, cultivating, and harvesting activities.
• Maintain and monitor farm equipment and machinery for optimal performance.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on the farm.
• Implement and promote sustainable farming practices and soil care.
• Manage farm supply inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.
• Record and analyze farm data to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Prepare and manage the farm budget to align with financial objectives.
• Conduct regular staff training and development programs for skill enhancement.
• Identify and respond to pests, diseases, and other farm related issues swiftly.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high product standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Farm Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Thorough knowledge of farming techniques and agricultural machinery.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent team leadership skills and ability to motivate staff.
• Ability to analyze data and apply it to enhance productivity.
• Familiarity with budgeting and resource management principles in farming.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail in all endeavors.
