The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all housekeeping activities within the catering camp to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in accommodation areas, offices, kitchens, dining halls, and common facilities. The role ensures compliance with company policies, client requirements, and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Operations
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations across camp facilities
- Allocate duties and work schedules for housekeeping staff
- Monitor staff performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Conduct daily inspections of rooms, washrooms, public areas, and laundry
Cleaning & Hygiene Standards
- Ensure all areas meet required cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Enforce proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Ensure waste disposal procedures are followed correctly
- Support pest control and deep-cleaning programs
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HSE, food safety, and camp hygiene regulations
- Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure staff follow PPE and safety procedures at all times
- Assist in audits and client inspections
Staff Management
- Train new housekeeping staff on procedures and standards
- Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and behavior
- Report manpower needs to the Camp Manager / Catering Manager
Inventory & Reporting
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen
- Request materials and ensure proper storage
- Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and reports
- Submit daily/weekly reports to management
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years experience in housekeeping, preferably in catering camps, hotels, or staff accommodation
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and hygiene standards
- Ability to manage multicultural teams
- Basic English required (Arabic preferred depending on location)
