Job Description
The Terminal Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dry port, ensuring efficient and safe handling of container/cargo, and maintaining high standards of service. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dry Port, including container handling, storage, and allied transportation.

Ensure efficient and timely movement of containers, optimizing Dry Port throughput and minimizing delays.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns to the Operations Manager promptly.

Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.

Efficiency is formulating workflows, developing SOPs, system (TOS) testing and working.

Prepare and maintain accurate records of all activities, including container In and Out movements.

Prepare reports as per directives of Management, highlighting key performance indicators.

Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and reporting requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with customers, shipping lines, and other stakeholders.

Address and resolve any operational issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery and effective communication.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/with specialization in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of port operations, safety regulations, and logistics processes.

Proficiency in Terminal management software and other relevant IT systems.

Ability to write clearly and concisely and to communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Port terminal, Dry Port or CFS operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
