Education:

• High School Diploma or GED – Required

• Two-year college degree in a technical science or trade, or equivalent work experience – Required

Experience:

• • Minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance personnel or operations supervision – Required

  • Experience in healthcare facility maintenance and operations – Preferred

    
    Licensure/Certification:

    • Valid driver’s license – Required

    Additional Skills:

    • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing and overseeing facility maintenance and operations

    • Strong understanding of the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems

    • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including NFPA, OSHA, Joint Commission, state regulations, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, along with diplomacy and problem-solving skills

    • Basic understanding of general accounting procedures

    • Proficient in data analysis, organization, and presentation

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

    • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all levels of authority and cultural backgrounds

    • Ability to collaborate with physicians, administration, department leaders, nursing staff, and external agencies
