Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Pre-Access Center. Ensures accuracy and oversees the registration process, time of service cash collections, insurance verification, authorization, and notification of all Admissions. Responsible for the daily operations of all functions and serves as the liaison between Pre-Access center and the facility. The Supervisor integrates the department’s service with the hospital’s primary functions, develops/implements policies and procedures that guide or support service, assesses and improves departmental performance and ensures orientation and continuing education of departmental staff. Serves as a key promoter of the service center, which strives to meet and exceed the needs of its customers.

Education/Training: Associate’s Degree required. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Experience: At least three years of experience in Patient Access Management. Minimum of two (2) years in a Coordinator or supervisory capacity required (preferably in a Healthcare facility). Advanced knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Word, Outlook & Excel).

Licensure, Registration or Certification: Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or required completion of Patient Access Certification upon hire.
