Supervisor Registered Nurse PACU Recovery

Your future role at a glance:
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital
Department/Specialty: Main PACU Recovery
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-9:00PM, 3x12 with some weekends on-call hours required to assist leaders. No scheduled weekends or holidays.
How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Lead and coordinate specialized nursing teams to ensure every patient receives high quality, safe recovery care that meets clinical standards.
  • Direct and mentor staff throughout each shift to foster a high performing team dedicated to professional growth and excellence.
  • Align staff assignments with real-time patient needs to guarantee that every individual receives attentive, personalized, and appropriate care.
  • Evaluate recovery outcomes and streamline unit processes to quickly resolve obstacles that could impact a patient’s healing journey.
  • Resolve patient and family concerns immediately through clear communication to maintain trust and ensure a positive care experience.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting ICU, or PACU required.
  • Experience in a Leadership related role.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, & NIHSS required.
