Job Overview
This position is a leadership position with primary responsibility for supervising inventory, dock, and warehouse personnel. Assumes responsibility for the fiscal and personnel management of assigned departments. Develops and implements the department's philosophy and objectives. Develops and implements hospital and department policies and procedures. Facilitates intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication and activities.
1. Oversees team of inventory, dock, and warehouse employees in the Material Management department.
2. Evaluates deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
3. Works to improve training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
4. Works with Hospital departments to ensure the inventory is moving effectively and satisfactorily.
5. Keeps up to date with the latest federal and state safety regulations.
6. Facilitates and leads special projects as assigned. Serves as a resource to Administration for special product line assignments and other duties as assigned.
7. Monitor section training for standards required by ACHC and maintaining the Departmental Safety Plan.
Education Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital or health care facility is preferred.
