Why does the job exist?
The Training Supervisor will:
Manage Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) training staff and initiatives;
Provide leadership with facilitation of training and training development;
Manage training compliance oversight and database management;
Provide support and technical assistance to providers and trainees within the waiver system;
Manage training and advocacy related contracts.
How does it get done?
The Training Supervisor is responsible for:
Overseeing daily operations, including training, staff schedules, time approval, and workflow;
Managing team assignments, team performance, and staff evaluations;
Providing daily direction and resolves operational challenges;
Ensuring consistent implementation of bureau initiatives;
Maintaining clear internal communication with staff;
Communicating with providers regarding compliance, fidelity follow-ups, and routine communication with the Training and Knowledge Management Bureau Chief;
Leading compliance operations and monthly reporting;
Managing database accuracy and data management;
Supporting contract management.
Who are the customers?
The Training and Knowledge Management Bureau (TKMB) Training Manager supports training needs for provider agencies and staff who serve people receiving services on the 1915c waivers and state general funds. The TKMB also supports DDSD and other divisions with required trainings.
Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field and six (6) years of experience in adult education, instructional design, instructional technology, human resources, employee development, training, and/or producing instructional aid/materials. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certificate as a condition of continued employment within 45 days of employment. Travel may be required with some occasional overnight stays. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Working Conditions
Office setting with extensive use of personal computer, telephone, fax, copier and other related office equipment that involves sitting, standing, bending, reaching, etc. to include lifting up to 30 pounds.
