The Supervisor will oversee daily carpentry and joinery operations, ensuring high-quality production, timely completion of projects, and adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge in woodworks and proven leadership in managing skilled carpenters and workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate carpentry and joinery activities in the workshop and on-site.
- Plan and assign tasks to carpenters and workers according to project requirements.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly utilized and maintained.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to guide the team in fabrication and installation.
- Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects within quality and safety standards.
- Provide hands-on technical support in wood cutting, assembling, polishing, and finishing when required.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and safety compliance among workers.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure work meets specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on-site or in the workshop.
- Train and mentor carpentry staff to improve skills and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor or Diploma or technical certification in Carpentry, Wood Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in carpentry/joinery, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of wood materials, joinery techniques, furniture manufacturing, and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction/joinery works.
- Ability to manage teams effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
