OBJECTIVE: The Supplier Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for assigned suppliers and internal departments, including Purchasing, Pricing, Inventory Management, and Reporting. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in managing a portfolio of major suppliers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate supplier market visits and participation in sales meetings.
- Manage new item setup, packaging reviews, and product launches.
- Provide supplier reports and respond to deal book requests.
- Monitor inventory levels and support Purchasing to maintain stock.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address aged inventory and discounting needs.
- Oversee product status updates with the product maintenance team.
- Submit product samples upon request.
- Lead reserve allocation for limited or priority SKUs.
- Advise suppliers on effective point-of-sale strategies for our markets.
- Manage supplier accounts receivable and reconcile with accounting.
- Partner with Revenue Management to ensure pricing aligns with strategic goals.
Communication
- Maintain clear communication between suppliers and internal teams.
- Share updates on national account activity for On- and Off-premise channels.
- Escalate critical issues to leadership when necessary.
Performance Metrics
- Deliver Portfolio Plan objectives in alignment with strategic goals.
- Meet internal margin expectations.
- Achieve targets for aged and unsalable inventory.
- Maintain controllable inventory for top SKUs (top 80% of portfolio revenue).
- Ensure timely supplier AR reporting and proactive management of invoice payments.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Need a working knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge of portfolio and planning tools.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong math skills for pricing, margin analysis, and inventory calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools such as PowerBI.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and facilitation abilities.
- Self-starter with creativity and enthusiasm; team oriented.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
