 What you’ll do at Ather:
 
- 
   Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors
  
- 
   Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project
  
- 
   Advise internal and external stakeholders on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions
  
- 
   Update PPR’s on Jira
  
- 
   In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
  
- 
   Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors
  
- 
   Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
  
- 
   Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  
- 
   Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.
  
- 
   Choosing the suppliers that the company will deal with and maintaining the legal interaction with them.
  
- 
   Managing any SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) that may be in place and managing any Master Agreements between the suppliers and the company.
  
- 
   Staff training and management.
  
- 
   Liaison with other departments, particularly the accounting, R&D and Factory departments.
  
- 
   Overseeing any large procurement that may happen.
  
- 
   Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies
  
- 
   Adherence to prototyping process(Jira-PPR) and making sure the team is inline with it.
  
- 
   Material management,Stores/Inventory management.
  
- 
   Daily task planning for runner boys to optimize material pick and drop.
  
- 
   Happay card management.
  
- 
   Identify and establish Part Cost/NRE cost/Lead Time structures for your commodity and sub commodity parts & meet cost, quality, and timeline targets for the Program.
  
- 
   Track capacity at suppliers and their sub suppliers to have a smooth supply chain.
  
- 
   Ensure the sustenance of established processes and plan for periodic audit & score card reviews.
  
- 
   Ensure seamless implementation of engineering changes & obsolete management at supplier end and ensure price revisions for the same if any..
  
- 
   Monitor timely payment to all supplier partners as per the agreed credit terms.
   
 
 
 Here’s what we are looking for:
 
- 
   Prior experience in development of parts by Block machining, 3d printing, Plastic moulding by VIM, fabrication & other Prototyping Mfg process,Vendor management preferably automotive parts.
  
- 
   Strong knowledge on 4S ; Scouting , selecting, securing & supplier relation management.
  
- 
   Good experience on understanding of supplier landscape, value chain mapping & understanding Zero based costing.
  
- 
   Strong knowledge of different manufacturing processes such as Machining, Vaccum casting,sheet metal,3d printing,forming,welding etc
  
- 
   Ability to work on Spend analysis, negotiations, and good understanding of commercials & INCOterms.
  
- 
   Prior experience on understanding service level agreements, contract analysis and negotiation with suppliers.
  
- 
   Product development life cycle experience and strong problem solving skills are must
  
- 
   Ability to work well within a team – enjoys collaborating, persuading, and influencing
  
- 
   Ability to thrive under pressure – to manage challenging deadlines
  
- 
   Strong planning, process management, and decision-making skills
  
- 
   Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
   
 
 
 You bring to Ather:
 
- 
   B.E/M. E in Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering.
  
- 
   3-6 years of hands-on experience on sourcing & prototyping on built to spec parts.
