We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality and QMS Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will drive supplier performance excellence and lead the harmonization of best-practice quality management systems across our global network.
This position sits within our Pharma, Healthcare, & Durables Division and reports directly to the Quality Management Systems Lead. The role can be based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates located in Eastern Time Zone regions.
Purpose of the job:
To work as part of the Divisional QMS team to:
- Drive quality standards at our suppliers and work within the Management of Change process to ensure all new suppliers and materials introduced to kp are capable of meeting and maintaining high levels of product quality. To maintain and utilize supplier ratings and scorecards to develop risk-based audit schedules and supplier action plans to be used across the business. To maintain and support Procurement with Supplier Contract Management.
- Work with the Divisional and Site level Quality Teams to develop and implement the best practice quality systems across the PHD sites globally
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Implementation and management of the Supplier Quality Management system, including scorecards, across the division
- Preparation and maintenance of reports pertaining to supplier performance to ensure transparency across all levels of the business
- Ongoing management of the supplier approvals process for the PHD division
- Planning and coordination of supplier audits based on risks and supplier performance for all suppliers across the PHD division
- Support the development and implementation of best practice quality systems across the PHD division
Management responsibility:
- Work cross-functionally across the PHD division, engaging with internal stakeholders and external suppliers at all organizational levels.
- No direct reports; requires strong influencing and leadership-by-collaboration skills to drive quality objectives and improvements.
Strategic impact:
This role will provide vital inputs in the form of data and conclusions to the strategic direction of quality within PHD, with primary focus on:
- Supplier Quality performance
- Quality Systems harmonization and Best Practice implementation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier quality management and/or quality systems management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, packaging or regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills, with the ability to manage and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Experience with supplier audits, risk-based quality management, and performance reporting tools.
Key competencies:
- The ability to work with multiple data sources draw accurate conclusions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to confidently communicate with employees up to VP level within the business and external suppliers
- An understanding of the use of quality tools and change management
- The ability to identify and highlight opportunities to improve existing processes, and a willingness to challenge the status quo
