Supplier Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to take part in Şişecam Headquarters – Quality Function in Tuzla/ İstanbul.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related Engineering departments
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant field
• In-depth knowledge of plastic materials, tooling, mold design, and injection molding process parameters
• Preferably familiar with ISO 9001 certification (Familiar with automotive or industrial quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3))and knowledgeable in APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA
• Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques (8D)
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends for process improvement
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Analytical thinker; enthusiastic, self-motivated, and energetic
• Team-oriented and results-focused
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to coach, lead, and manage change
• No travel restrictions

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Track and report supplier quality performance
• Support and collaborate with Procurement and Supplier Development teams to ensure adequate supplier quality by assisting in supplier selection, qualification, auditing, and development
• Support on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis
• Keep the supplier database updated with quality data and identify improvement opportunities
• Monitor reports and KPIs measuring supplier quality management performance
• Act as a problem solver for issues escalated by team leaders
• Conduct supplier audits, process validations, and capability assessments
• Lead and support supplier development activities to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
• Support product and process changes through APQP and change management procedures
