Job Purpose: The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for tracking and analyzing supply chain-related activities, including item-level order allocation/fulfillment, supplier purchase orders, demand/supply planning, 3PL/transportation, and data integration/ reconciliation. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Utilize various analytical tools and methodologies to analyze supply chain data.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into supply chain performance.
- Identify sales trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement based on data analysis.
- Monitor order status and provide updates to customers as needed.
- Proactively communicate with 3PL and customers regarding relevant updates.
- Process orders promptly and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand for products or materials.
- Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and analyze demand patterns to ensure timely replenishment and minimize stockouts.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings.
- Assess potential risks within the supply chain, including disruptions in supply, transportation, or demand fluctuations.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Account Management, Project Management, Field Service, and Sales to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Escalate issues to the Manager for an efficient solution path
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Data-Driven with strong analytical skills,
- Takes initiative and can successfully partner with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
- Must be able to manage competing priorities with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Advanced Excel
- 1+ years of experience in supply chain through an internship or co-op.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Experience in demand /supply planning/ Order fulfillment /3PL process experience.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
- Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
