Supply Chain and Procurement Officer- Lighting

The Supply Chain & Procurement Officer is responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing raw materials, coordinating logistics operations, and ensuring product quality compliance from factory to warehouse.

This role acts as the link between suppliers, logistics providers, quality control, and internal operations to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and consistent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities1️ Supplier & Sourcing Management

• Identify, evaluate, and approve suppliers (local & international)
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
• Maintain supplier performance database
• Conduct periodic supplier reviews

2️ Procurement & Raw Materials Control

• Manage purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods
• Monitor stock levels and forecast material requirements
• Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality
• Coordinate production schedules with suppliers

3️ Logistics Coordination

• Arrange sea and air shipments
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers
• Review shipping documents (BL, PL, CI)
• Track shipments and update internal departments
• Ensure timely delivery to warehouse or project sites

4️ Quality Control Oversight

• Coordinate factory quality inspections
• Ensure products meet company specifications
• Handle non-conformance reports and corrective actions
• Work closely with QC teams to reduce defects

5️ Cost & Risk Management

• Monitor shipping and procurement costs
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage supply chain risks (delays, shortages, supplier issues)
• Develop contingency sourcing plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
• 3–5 years experience in procurement or supply chain (manufacturing/import background preferred)
• Strong understanding of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW)
• Experience dealing with international suppliers (China experience is a plus)
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
