Title: Supply Chain Category Manager

Location: North Dallas, TX (south Addison/north Preston hollow)

Workplace type: 100% onsite in North Dallas near Addison (M-F regular 40 hour work week)

Type: direct Hire- full time

Pay: Salary range- based on seniority- starting at $100,000 yearly salary on w2+ potential bonus and annual merit increases (will be prorated to match Calander year)

Timeline: ideally submit all candidates no later than 2/25/26- hoping to begin interviews the same or following week

Screenings: soft credit check and background (education, work experience, and criminal) once hired

IV process: 2-3 rounds (3 likely)

+full time role with benefits, pto, sick leave and more (directly from the client)


Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field- Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred. M
  • minimum of 5 (no more than 15, overqualified) years of experience in procurement BUT Gas utility experience will be considered in lieu of procurement experience.
  • Hands on RFP/RFQ’s experience
  • Experience owning projects from start to finish
  • Experience overseeing contractors ( at a enterprise level) - at a large scale (dealing with 300+ contractors is what they are looking for
  • Must be proficient in commonly used reporting and statistical analysis methods/tools; Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
  • Requires intermediate computer skills for economic analysis (e.g. MS Excel) and correspondence (e.g. MS Word).
  • Requires knowledge of purchasing and inventory control databases such as Oracle or SAP and associated applications used to mine data or other information from these sources.
  • Ideal candidate to have experience with construction services at a large scale (dealing with 300+ contractors), this person should have experience with owning the projects from start to finish, and ideally this person should have experience in an Oracle ERP system (they are converting from SAP to Oracle)


Overview:

This candidate is part of a new developing team that started January of 2026, and the team will be growing as future budgeting gets approved. They are looking for the ideal candidate to have experience with construction services at a large scale (dealing with 300+ contractors), this person should have experience with owning the projects from start to finish, and ideally this person should have experience in an Oracle ERP system (they are converting from SAP to Oracle)


Communication Skills :

Must be able to develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal clients as well as supplier representatives. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in order to obtain and provide explanations and information.


Job Description :

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and supply chain background in managing agreements for construction services. This candidate will partner with risk and operations to identify safety, operational, and business risks for the construction services category and will implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance, service continuity, and cost-control.


Primary Duties

  • Create and execute category-specific purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals. Execute RFP/RFQ’s to support category strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate their performance, and negotiate contracts, terms, and prices.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on market trends and pricing.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Monitor and control supply chain expenses to stay within budget. Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to improve efficiency. Understand macroeconomic shifts (inflation, tariffs, etc.) and the impact on pricing and budgets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and finance teams, to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
  • Address and resolve supply chain-related issues and disputes with suppliers promptly.
