Supply Chain Customer Service Specialist

Responsibilities:

SM Line is looking for an Export Customer Service Specialist. Entry-level position with 0-2 years of experience with opportunities for professional growth and development. A college degree is preferred, but not necessary.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Coordinate export shipments with planning, schedule, drayage carriers, warehouses, OTR carriers, and internal/external customers
Take customer shipment requests via phone, email or web entry to create bookings
Troubleshooting for terminal, trucker, shipper, and ocean route
Maintain courteous, prompt, efficient inter-office communication and with customer relations
Vessel closing and planning for loading, handling special cargos (Haz, AK, RF)
Space control to maximize BSA
Work proactively to meet customers' needs and trade objectives

Qualifications:
Analytical skills with a business perspective
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work within team environment
Makes good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desire and ability to provide excellent customer service required
Ability to meet deadlines and to multitask
