Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lemont, IL for an Intermodal Dispatcher. The Intermodal Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of shipments, scheduling and dispatching drivers, tracking shipments to ensure timely deliveries, and addressing any issues that arise during transit. The role also involves maintaining open communication with customers and drivers, ensuring high-quality service, and resolving conflicts or delays in a professional and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in logistics coordination, shipment tracking, and managing schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Experience with intermodal transportation, drayage, and related operational processes is preferred.
• Proficient in using transportation management systems and familiarity with technology tools in logistics.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
