Supply Chain Director (Manufacturing)

We are currently hiring on behalf of a well-established market leader, Plastic Manufacturing organization with operations in 10th of Ramadan, Sharkia, Egypt .

About the Job:

This senior leadership role is responsible for designing and executing the company’s supply chain strategy to ensure efficiency, compliance, and excellence across all functions. You will oversee planning, warehousing, distribution, transportation, procurement, and customer relations, while driving cost optimization, operational excellence, and strategic supplier partnerships to support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies, short- and long-term plans, budgets, and performance monitoring across all supply chain functions.
• Review and approve policies, procedures, and work instructions for planning, warehousing, distribution, transportation, procurement, and customer relations.
• Establish methodologies to measure performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on global supply chain trends and implement best practices to ensure competitiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and guide teams to implement improvement plans based on feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Oversee production, raw material, and spare parts planning to maximize production capacity and minimize costs.
• Lead distribution and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
• Supervise warehouse operations and set optimal inventory levels.
• Manage regional distribution centers for effective inventory and order fulfillment.
• Direct procurement activities including supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, and contracting.
• Oversee customer relationship management to ensure order accuracy, satisfaction, and issue resolution.
• Chair the Customer Demand Management Committee to align sales, operations, and production planning.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team to achieve strategic objectives.
• Provide periodic performance reports to senior management for decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Engineering is preferred. MBA is a strong advantage.
• 15+ years of experience in supply chain management in manufacturing industries.
• Strong capabilities in strategic thinking, leadership, adaptability, continuous improvement, decision-making, and accountability.
• Proven expertise in end-to-end supply chain strategy, procurement, manufacturing and production planning, logistics, quality, and sustainability.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CIPS, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
