Job Purpose:

Partner with supply chain functions including engineering, site operations, supply planning and logistics to provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insights, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy, growth and profitability.

Responsible for improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance, providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for supply chain operations
  • Evaluate financial feasibility of new investment.
  • Supply Chain Initiatives: Partner with supply chain leaders to drive key initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance in manufacturing, logistics, and sourcing.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports and performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and other departments to ensure financial alignment and support strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance financial processes and systems within the supply chain function.

Operational

  • OPEX Management: Monitor and control operating expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Partner with logistics on importation, customs, sea and land logistics as appropriate.

Costs Review and Optimization

  • Maintain and improve upon the existing the cost accounting functions in support of manufacturing operations and supply chain management
  • Review and processing production Bill of Materials (BOM) and analyse the difference between actual and standard consumption, providing insights on improvements. Utilize Oracle ERP as appropriate.
  • Design principles for calculating COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) overall and SKU-wise by month
  • Implement principles for calculating SKU-wise and overall Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by month
  • Conduct and publish analysis on analytics on COGS optimisation

Procurement Optimization

  • Provide support in supplier bid evaluations
  • Identify various options for sourcing value chain optimization by conduct detailed sourcing value chain analysis to identify areas of cost improvement (e.g. import decisions, manufacturing vs finished goods procurement decisions)
  • Engage with Procurement on reviewing CAPEX spends and monitoring variance from budget, in line with DoA

Performance Management Support

  • Contribute to performance alignment on the KPI architecture for Supply Chain by presenting financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and risk
  • Retrieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and publish Supply Chain Control Tower (Supply Chain dashboards)
  • Provide inputs for GCC P&L preparation basis costs and expenses incurred by Supply Chain



QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS


Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from a reputed University
  • Specialization in Finance and Accounts Management would be preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience and at least 3 years in a position of similar responsibility preferably in consumer products / packaged goods sector
