Job Mission: Supply Chain Lead – North Africa Network
As the Supply Chain Lead for our African North Africa Network, you will drive operational excellence by developing and executing robust supply chain strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives. Your mission is to optimize forecasting accuracy, planning efficiency, and end-to-end logistics while maintaining a keen focus on managing supply chain costs.
You will lead with passion, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. A key objective will be to develop and empower your team, ensuring capability growth and performance excellence. Through strategic decision-making and operational leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a streamlined, resilient, and cost-effective supply chain that delivers value to our stakeholders and reinforces the organization’s competitive advantage in the region.
The position directly reports to the GM with a functional reporting line to the Head of Supply Chain of the subregion Africa.
Expected Impact of the Supply Chain Lead Role:
Operational Excellence:
Establish and implement innovative practices and processes that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive consistent performance across the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and strong execution.
Cost Optimization:
Strategically manage supply chain expenses through improved forecasting, streamlined logistics, effective supplier negotiations, and optimized planning, delivering measurable cost savings while maintaining quality and service.
Forecasting & Planning Efficiency:
Drive accuracy in demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure robust inventory management, resource allocation, and seamless alignment with market needs and business goals.
People Development:
Build a high-performing supply chain team through mentorship, training, and creating growth opportunities. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, empowering individuals to excel in their roles.
Customer Experience:
Ensure seamless collaboration across sales, marketing, and service to enhance customer experience; gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback to improve satisfaction and identify new opportunities. In addition, drive innovation and ease of doing business through process improvements, automation, and technology.
Strategic Contribution:
Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that support the company's overall business objectives, enabling scalability, agility, and long-term growth in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
Logistical Excellence:
Enhance the efficiency of logistics operations—both inbound and outbound—by implementing technology-driven solutions and fostering partnerships that streamline distribution networks and reduce lead times.
Export and Trade Compliance Accountabilities:
Ensure compliance with export control & sanctions regulations and assess risks in supply chain operations; implement mitigation measures to protect customer experience and business continuity and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain adherence to regional and global standards.
Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
Ensure compliance with SHE regulations, drive safety goals, conduct incident investigations, and manage team training in SHE protocols.
By achieving these impacts, the Supply Chain Lead will play a vital role in strengthening organizational performance, creating value for stakeholders, and positioning the African North Africa Network as a benchmark for supply chain excellence in the region.
Who You Are

You have a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or Business Management, or an equivalent qualification

You possess 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain or operations, ideally within a Pharmaceutical or Diagnostics environment

You have 3-5 years of people management experience

You demonstrate knowledge of Cold Chain processes and best practices, SAP, and Project Management

You can achieve results, provide feedback and coaching, and manage change effectively

You excel in resource management, customer service and care, relationship management, and teamwork and collaboration

You are capable of accountability, accuracy and attention to detail, action orientation, analytical thinking, and planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks
