Job Purpose
The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement coordination, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, import/export activities, and customer deliveries. The role ensures uninterrupted production through efficient material planning while minimizing overall supply chain costs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Plan material requirements based on production forecasts.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability.
- Improve overall supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
2. Production Planning Coordination
- Coordinate with the Production Planning Department.
- Review production schedules and material requirements.
- Ensure materials are available before production starts.
- Resolve material shortages affecting production.
3. Procurement Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for local and international purchases.
- Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance.
4. Warehouse Management
- Supervise warehouse operations.
- Ensure accurate inventory control.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory systems.
- Monitor stock movements.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits.
- Minimize inventory losses and damages.
5. Logistics & Distribution
- Plan and monitor local deliveries.
- Coordinate international shipments.
- Manage transportation providers.
- Optimize freight costs.
- Ensure on-time customer deliveries.
6. Inventory Control
- Maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Reduce excess inventory.
- Monitor slow-moving inventory.
- Coordinate annual stock counts.
- Investigate inventory variances.
7. ERP & Reporting
- Ensure accurate ERP transactions.
- Prepare supply chain performance reports.
- Monitor inventory reports.
- Analyze supply chain KPIs.
- Prepare monthly management reports.
8. Cost Control
- Reduce logistics costs.
- Optimize transportation expenses.
- Improve warehouse productivity.
- Reduce inventory carrying costs.
- Monitor supply chain budgets.
9. Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations.
- Follow company policies.
- Support ISO Quality Management Systems.
- Maintain supply chain documentation.
10. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the Supply Chain & Logistics team.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching and training.
- Allocate work responsibilities.
- Improve employee productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CILT are an advantage.
Experience
- 02-05 years of experience in Supply Chain & Logistics.
- Experience in manufacturing (preferably rubber, plastic, insulation, or pipe manufacturing).
- Experience with GCC operations is preferred.
