Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist to support procurement, material movement, and logistics coordination for an industrial manufacturing project within the nuclear sector. This role ensures timely delivery, traceability, and regulatory compliance of all materials and components used in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement, shipping, receiving, and internal distribution of nuclear-grade materials and components
- Maintain accurate records of material traceability, certifications, and documentation in compliance with NQA-1 standards
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and inventory accuracy
- Monitor and manage logistics schedules to support production and testing milestones
- Support import/export compliance, including ITAR and EAR regulations where applicable
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity
- Assist in supplier qualification and performance monitoring
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas in accordance with contamination control protocols
- Prepare reports and metrics on supply chain performance, inventory levels, and logistics efficiency
- Support audits, inspections, and customer reviews with complete and accurate documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably in the nuclear, aerospace, or defense industries
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DOE or NRC-regulated projects
- Familiarity with complex systems or precision rotating equipment
- Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCP, PMP)
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and contamination control
- Experience with international shipping and regulatory compliance
Other Job Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security clearance. Active clearance is a plus.
