Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview


The Supply Chain Manager will lead and oversee the full spectrum of supply chain operations for our manufacturing facility in Jubail in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless coordination of production planning, warehousing, logistics, procurement coordination, customer service, import/export processes and SAP system management. The incumbent will be responsible for developing robust processes, optimizing cost and service efficiency, and aligning supply chain operations with the broader business goals. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong engineering background, deep understanding of ERP (particularly SAP), and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities


1. Supply Chain Strategy & Execution

  • Define and drive the factory’s supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with production capacity, sales forecasts, and customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement integrated supply chain systems and SOPs that enhance efficiency, reduce lead time, and minimize supply disruptions.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Production, Sales, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure synchronized operations.


2. Material & Production Planning

  • Own the demand planning, material planning and production planning process, ensuring material availability and balanced production loading.
  • Oversee MPS (Master Production Schedule) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) with a clear focus on minimizing stockouts and overproduction.
  • Lead and oversee supply plan communication to the customers
  • Work closely with procurement to align sourcing timelines with production schedules.


3. Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Supervise all warehouse activities, ensuring space utilization, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement best practices in material handling, FIFO/FEFO controls, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliation.
  • Optimize inventory holding levels, minimize obsolescence, and ensure accurate system transactions.


4. Customer Service & Logistics Oversight

  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective flow of goods (inbound and outbound including import and export), coordinating with freight forwarders, customs, and 3PL providers.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs, transport costs, and route optimization for domestic and regional distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with KSA’s import/export laws and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee accurate and timely order processing, ensures high service levels through effective customer communication.


5. ERP (SAP) System Ownership

  • Manage the full supply chain module suite in SAP including Materials Management, Production Planning, Warehouse Management, and Sales & Distribution.
  • Ensure all supply chain-related transactions are accurate, timely, and aligned with master data integrity.
  • Identify areas for digital optimization and lead system enhancements in coordination with the IT and operations teams.


6. Team Management & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a team of planners, warehouse personnel, and logistics coordinators to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Define roles and responsibilities, set performance expectations, and conduct regular team reviews.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, agility, and problem-solving.


7. Reporting, Controls & Compliance

  • Deliver timely reports on inventory health, logistics performance, planning accuracy, and supply chain KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards and internal policies related to quality, health and safety, and trade.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing data, documentation, and process walkthroughs.
  • Ensure compliance with customer SLAs and drive action plans to exceed performance targets


Qualifications


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing).
  • Advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain or Operations Management is preferred.


Certifications (Desirable):

APICS CPIM / CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.


Experience


  • Years of Experience: Minimum 10–12 years in supply chain roles within a manufacturing setup, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.

Industry Background:

  • Mandatory: FMCG (Non Food )/ Home or Personal Care product manufacturing is a MUST
  • Preferred: Experience in factory-based roles overseeing end-to-end supply chain modules is a MUST
