Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager with solid background in dairy, production, FMCG, and regional (MENA) operations to lead procurement, logistics, and overall supply chain process excellence. The role will report to the General Manager and lead the supply chain team, including procurement and logistics staff, focusing on driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and supplier performance, while ensuring compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

Policies & Process Improvement

• Develop, review, and update supply chain practices in line with environmental policies, standards, and regulations.
• Implement and continuously improve supply chain processes to enhance operational performance.
• Document supply chain processes, responsibilities, and system flows.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects (e.g. engineering changes, product line extensions or new product launches) to ensure timely and smooth material flow.
• Provide process expertise to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management.

Procurement & Contract Management

• Lead procurement activities across direct (raw materials, packaging, ingredients) and indirect categories (MRO, services, and consumables), ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements across all categories, with a strong focus on dairy-specific ingredients and food safety compliance.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery standards.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Logistics Management

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, excluding warehouse management.
• Coordinate with shipping lines and freight agencies to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
• Oversee customs clearance and transport planning for timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international trade and MENA clearance regulations.
• Collaborate with the Factory Director and warehouse teams to align material and finished goods flow.

Systems & Reporting

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date management of all material master data in SAP, covering raw materials, packaging, finished goods, spare parts, trading goods, and indirect materials.
• Lead SAP-related projects within the supply chain function, including module enhancements, automation, and data accuracy initiatives.
• Act as key user with IT for digital transformation projects, implementation of WBS, process automation, and ERP upgrades impacting supply chain operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP issues across procurement, logistics, and invoicing, ensuring seamless end-to-end process execution.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to drive data-based decision-making and KPI tracking.

Finance & Compliance

• Align purchase orders with budgeted targets and ensure cost control.
• Develop monthly payment plans for major purchases to support cash flow planning.
• Collaborate with finance on timely payments and monitoring of supplier accounts and outstanding balances.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

• Demonstrate commitment to HSE by following safety policies and ensuring safe operations in all supply chain activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, enforce safety checklists, and drive continuous improvement in HSE practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management within dairy, production, FMCG, and regional (MENA) operations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, Incoterms, MENA clearance regulations, and international trade.
• Proven experience in procurement, logistics, and supplier management.
• Excellent skills in decision-making, negotiation, problem solving, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
