JOB PURPOSE

responsible for optimizing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, from procurement to inventory control, ensuring smooth distribution of goods, and timely deliveries. The role involves managing vendor relationships, sourcing quality raw materials (including fresh and frozen products), ensuring product safety and quality standards, and minimizing costs.


Strategic Development and Implementation of Supply Chain Initiatives

  • Lead the design and execution of a robust supply chain strategy tailored to the specific demands of the F&B sector, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Regularly assess and enhance existing supply chain processes to improve efficiency in product sourcing, inventory management, and distribution, with a focus on minimizing costs and reducing waste, particularly in perishable goods.
  • Develop and drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving supply chain agility, reducing lead times, and optimizing the flow of goods from procurement to final delivery.

F&B Market Analysis and Sourcing Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential supplier risks, and shifts in pricing within the F&B sector, focusing particularly on fresh and frozen product sourcing.
  • Leverage the supplier "whitelist" to source high-quality products from approved vendors, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms, while ensuring that product quality and timely deliveries are consistently met.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with other teams to align on demand forecasting, inventory levels, and production schedules, ensuring a seamless integration of supply chain activities.
  • Act as the central point of contact for cross-departmental communication, facilitating coordination between teams to address issues, optimize processes, and drive the timely delivery of products.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration within the organization, ensuring that supply chain initiatives are aligned with customer expectations and market demands.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Definition and Monitoring

  • Define and establish relevant supply chain KPIs tailored to the F&B sector, such as inventory turnover rates, spoilage levels, on-time deliveries, and supplier compliance with food safety standards.
  • Regularly monitor and analyze KPI performance, identifying areas for improvement and proactively addressing any deviations to maintain operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize data insights from KPIs to guide decision-making processes, recommending improvements in vendor performance, inventory management, and overall supply chain operations.

Identification and Resolution of Supply Chain Bottlenecks

  • Continuously monitor supply chain activities to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, particularly in the handling of time-sensitive or temperature-controlled products.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted product flow across the supply chain.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to transportation delays, product spoilage, or vendor disruptions that could impact product availability or quality.

Vendor Relationship Management and Contract Negotiation

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors in the F&B sector, ensuring reliable and high-quality sourcing of raw materials.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable contract terms, emphasizing cost-effectiveness, delivery reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance against established criteria and KPIs, addressing any issues promptly and working towards long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
