Position Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain for the Indianapolis Compounds facility. Supply Chain team responsibilities include raw material planning and releases; master and finite scheduling of production activities; warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution of raw materials supporting the manufacturing of Energy cables.
Job Objectives

Lead Supply Chain team emphasizing safety, performance, and the development of a desirable work environment.

Develop plans and controls for establishing inventory requirements and levels of materials and products in all stages of production and distribution.

Supervise the Production Planning and Scheduling Team with responsibilities including Master Scheduling, Production Planning / Coordination, Shop Floor Scheduling and Materials Planning (Materials demand vs availability, Safety Stock control).

Responsible for procurement of Raw Materials using MRP within SAP ERP system with support from Corporate Procurement and supplier performance tracking.

Supervise the Distribution Center Lead responsible for all distribution operations, including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, supplier management, quality, and customer service.

Oversee and support the logistics team on creation/alteration of documents in SAP: Production Orders, Stock Transfer Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Subcontractor Purchase Orders, Call off Pos, Good Receipts and others.

Identify process bottlenecks and work with the Production Manager to implement debottlenecking solutions in a timely manner.

Ensure all operating goals are met, including cost, safety, schedule conformance, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, supply levels, customer service (OTD), employee productivity, inventory levels etc.

Work with Corporate Supply Chain Management on forecasting, production planning and required schedule changes as needed based on customer demand and business requirements.

Work with HSE, Quality, Engineering and Production to emphasize safety, maximize production output, minimize material in WIP, and reduce scrap.

Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Finance and Customer Service teams.

Directly responsible for the monthly Forecast and S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning) processes following up in a daily basis to making sure the production is on track to make the month Forecast.

Directly responsible for coordinating and managing monthly physical inventory count of all materials (i.e., Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods) even during weekends for month ends.

Implementation of production wheel process for production planning to ensure good quality and high efficiency.

Meet with customer plants on a regular basis.
Skills And Qualifications

5 or more years of supply chain, warehousing, or distribution experience with bachelor’s degree (preferred in Operations, Logistics or Business).

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years progressive production / materials planning and managerial experience (Materials, Shop floor, etc.).

Willing to travel 10% - 15%.

5 or more years managing multifunctional teams.

Experience with ERP systems (experience with SAP a definite plus).

Materials planning and scheduling experience, preferably in compounding, chemical or cable manufacturing environment.

APICS and Six Sigma Certifications are a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.

Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines daily with limited supervision.
