The Supply Chain Manager role supports the overall supply chain function, supply projects, logistics, and other services for Woodward companies. Due to the small company environment, the candidate is expected to perform many different tasks within the Supply Chain department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supply planning and procurement of materials to support Woodward company products assigned and provide project management support for product-related changes, launches, or issue resolution as needed.
- Responsible for the planning of all products, (API, bulk, and finished product) and coordinating the purchasing activities to maintain inventory at required safety stock levels.
- Maintain appropriate levels of inventory stock per leadership direction.
- Manage all procurement and logistics activities related to product lifecycle.
- Maintains master data information in the ERP system relevant to all inventory items.
- Interfaces with Commercial and Quality Assurance to review order status/delivery to prioritize the disposition of product once received at 3PL.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings for new product launches, product changes, or issue resolution, as needed, to support business operations. Identify and escalate issues accordingly to ensure product continuity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contract organizations, and logistics partners.
- Maintain annual budget for all products in category and provide regular reports to management.
- Responsible for the logistics, transportation, importation, and customs clearances of all products and materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and carriers.
- Prepare, review, and assemble appropriate documentation for shipments.
- Support DSCSA compliance and serialization system operations for both inbound and outbound products in Tracelink L4 system, assisting with new product setups and resolution of issues as needed.
- Ensure that appropriate procedures are established and/or followed to support Supply Chain processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge in ERP systems, particularly Netsuite
- Knowledge of DSCSA requirements
- Self-starter with minimum supervision needed
- Pharmaceutical Supply Chain experience with biologics is preferred.
- Knowledge of global logistics, customs requirements, and shipping practices
- Proven ability to deliver results in an unstructured, fast paced environment
- Must be fluent in English
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management Materials Management, Science, or field related to the products being developed required
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of professional experience in pharmaceutical industry required
- Two (2) to five (5) years of managerial experience, with or without direct reports
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
- Work required 3 days a week in the office (Rahway, NJ)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Some travel is required
Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
