Location: Cincinnati, OH

Company Overview
Precision Products Group (PPG) is a global leader in converting niche engineered materials for electrical, aerospace & defense, medical, and industrial markets. Due to rapid growth, we are introducing a Supply Chain Manager role to strengthen and scale our operations.
Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on supply chain professional who thrives in a coach/player role—leading a purchasing team while actively managing sourcing and procurement. This role will drive supply chain performance; leverage spend across multiple divisions and implement data-driven decision-making. Experience with textiles, fibers, and yarns is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a purchasing team (3–4 buyers) while managing procurement activities.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including RF(X) events, vendor qualification, and contract negotiations.
  • Act as the primary buyer for textile products (fibers, yarns, raw materials).
  • Oversee procurement of direct and indirect materials across all business units.
  • Drive annual cost-reduction initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development for new product launches.
  • Co-lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand planning to improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
  • Implement best practices and leverage analytics for supply chain performance.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks to ensure continuity and resilience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; advanced degree or APICS certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in textiles (fibers and yarns sourcing and procurement).
  • Experience partnering with GPOs for favorable pricing.
  • Strong knowledge of supply planning and S&OP processes.
  • ERP/MRP experience (Made2Manage or Winman preferred); advanced data analysis skills.
  • AI-driven supply chain optimization experience is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in small-to-mid-sized, private-equity-owned companies preferred.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% travel to suppliers, manufacturing sites, and corporate offices. Valid passport required for occasional international travel.
