Supply Chain Manager II, Amazon Shipping

DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new emerging business in transportation. We are a startup team looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical and customer-obsessed Supply Chain Manager to provide operational support for executing pick-ups. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success and satisfaction of Amazon Shipping partners by managing key escalations, providing proactive insights, and improving operational execution.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the pick-up experience for our shippers. Whether you're managing network capacity initiatives, overseeing cross-functional programs, or focusing on strategic projects, your impact will be visible, ongoing, and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customer-centric company on earth.

Key job responsibilities
  • Building strong partnership with operations field teams to identify and close gaps in execution
  • Innovating to improve customer experience and remove costs from our network.
  • Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes.
  • Developing a framework for tracking programs across multiple teams and providing biweekly updates to leadership on key programs.
  • Owning the metric roadmap for the team to help automate reporting and streamlining operations, including prioritizing work in partnership with our business intelligence/analytics teams
  • Working with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth of the business.
  • Thinking strategically and execute methodically.
  • Using analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Owning the XBR process for the team, including driving improvements in these mechanisms for better business outcomes.
  • Ability to travel 10% each quarter.

About the team
Amazon Shipping offers seamless delivery backed by Amazon’s transportation network. Shippers are able to ship from their website or other channels, enjoy great rates, and spend less time worrying—and more time on what really matters: growing their business.

Our team is the operational arm that supports the successful pick-up experience from shipper warehouses - touching everything from onboarding and forecasting to delivery at Amazon's facilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
