Supply Chain Officer

Job Purpose

To manage supplier relationships, negotiate the lowest possible procurement prices, secure extended credit terms, and ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Maintain strong working relationships with existing suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation (price, quality, delivery, credit terms).
• Develop alternate vendors to reduce dependency risk.

2. Price Negotiation

• Negotiate competitive prices to achieve maximum cost savings.
• Conduct market price analysis and benchmarking.
• Lead annual price negotiations and rate contracts.
• Work closely with Finance and Production for cost control planning.
• Prepare comparative statements (CS) for management approval.

3. Credit Terms & Payment Negotiation

• Negotiate extended credit limits and favorable payment terms.
• Ensure alignment of supplier credit terms with company cash flow cycle.
• Coordinate with Finance for payment scheduling.
• Monitor supplier outstanding balances and credit utilization.

4. Cost Optimization & Reporting

• Identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Submit monthly procurement savings report.
• Maintain supplier rate history and price trend analysis.
• Provide regular MIS reports to management.

Required Qualification

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• 3–5 years experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good command of MS Excel & ERP systems.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
