Supply Chain Specialist

• A Supply Chain Specialist manages the end-to-end flow of goods, from sourcing raw materials to final delivery, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and timely fulfillment by handling procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relations, often using data analysis for process improvement and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key duties involve negotiating contracts, tracking shipments, optimizing stock levels, and collaborating across departments to integrate logistics with business goals.
• Key Responsibilities
• Procurement & Supplier Management: Source materials, negotiate supplier contracts, evaluate performance, and build strong relationships.
• Inventory Control: Oversee stock levels, forecast demand, and optimize inventory to meet customer needs efficiently.
• Logistics & Distribution: Plan and manage transportation, warehousing, and the movement of goods.
• Process Improvement: Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, production, and other teams to align logistics with company objectives.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Essential Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Often a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
• Negotiation: Excellent skills for managing supplier and vendor agreements.
• Communication: Ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with supply chain software (like SAP) and automation.
• Soft Skills: Adaptability, attention to detail, leadership, and ability to work under pressure.
