Position Summary
The role of Supply Chain Tech is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain process.
Responsibilities
Maintaining familiarity with each supply item, including nomenclature, the unit of measure, and product family, and being able to communicate effectively with clinical staff
Utilizing equipment to replenish all supply items daily and provide feedback on stock shortages. Communicating usage trends, shortages, picking errors, and damaged items to supervision and the clinical areas
Monitoring the environment, ensuring that all activities related to the supply chain process comply with safety regulations and company policies, including JCAHO.
Accessing the hospital computer system to communicate with staff about supply and equipment changes
Reviewing Materials Matters to ensure compliance with clinical product changes
Initiating, tracking, and verifying receipt of supply orders
Ensure all necessary information about inventory issuance and returns are entered accurately into the MMIS. Calculating unit of measure conversion rates
Contacting customers daily to monitor any service concerns individual departments may be experiencing as it relates to supply chain management
Maintaining a neat, orderly work environment in each of the clinical areas serviced, including rotation of stock, validation of expiration dates, disposal of any refuse, adherence to storage requirements, and neatening of existing stock. Keeping areas free of fire and safety hazards
Creating weekly reports for the areas serviced and provided to supervision. Providing metrics to include service calls, validation of supply costs, rotation of stock (stock turns), and expiration date validation
Furthering knowledge and skills through attendance and participation at conferences, seminars, and in service programs
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: Entry Level
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbally and written

Two (2) years of customer relations, materials management, or closely related experience
Experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
The ability to read and understand written instructions
Basic mathematical skills
The ability to interpret requests and successfully follow through to completion
The ability to communicate professionally and effectively and organize and express ideas clearly, using appropriate and efficient methods for conveying accurate information
Knowledge of inventory processes, including the ability to anticipate needs and evaluate data to plan stock effectively
