Job Purpose

The Supply Planner will be responsible for efficiently converting demand forecasts into actionable supply plans across 8 countries with 17 operational centers. The role involves managing multiple purchases from global suppliers and coordinating transfers between operational centers to optimize stock availability. The planner will focus on ensuring the availability of products, reducing damage to perishables, and improving inventory turnaround. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain logistics, and the ability to work with perishable and non-perishable items with varying procurement frequencies.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning and Execution:

• Develop and execute supply plans based on demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels across all operational centers.
• Coordinate and manage the purchasing process for frequently required perishable items such as flowers, chocolates, and cakes, as well as less frequent gifting items.
• Optimize supply routes and distribution plans, ensuring cost efficiency and timely deliveries.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to lead times and service-level agreements.
• Manage stock transfers between operational centers to balance inventory levels and minimize waste.
  
  

Inventory Management

• Monitor and analyze stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring high product availability.
• Implement strategies to minimize damage and wastage of perishable items through effective storage and handling practices.
• Track and report on key inventory metrics, including inventory turnover rates and spoilage reduction.
• Develop contingency plans for potential supply chain disruptions.
  
  

Supplier Coordination And Cost Efficiency

• Liaise with a network of local and international suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency and service levels.
• Analyze supplier performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards.
  
  

Data Management And Reporting

• Utilize advanced Excel skills and ERP systems to manage procurement data efficiently.
• Generate regular reports on supply performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Conduct demand-supply reconciliation and support forecasting adjustments as needed.
  
  

Collaboration And Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with the Demand Planning team to align supply plans with sales forecasts and market trends.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of supply plans.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address supply challenges and recommend solutions.
• Provide regular updates and insights to the Supply Chain and Procurement leadership team
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in supply planning, procurement, or related supply chain roles.
• Experience in the flowers, gifts, or FMCG industry is preferred.
• Supply Planning: 3 years of experience in demand and supply planning within an FMCG or retail environment. Experience with perishable goods will be a big bonus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in supply planning, procurement, or related supply chain roles.
• Experience in the flowers, gifts, or FMCG industry is preferred.
• Supply Planning: 3 years of experience in demand and supply planning within an FMCG or retail environment. Experience with perishable goods will be a big bonus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel (advanced level).
• Experience with ERP systems such as MS Dynamics or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – experience with BI tools is a plus
• Inventory Control: Experience in managing inventory turnover, waste reduction, and supply chain optimization.
• Supplier Management: Proven track record of working with local and international suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance.
• Operational Efficiency: Ability to develop cost-effective supply plans and meet operational KPIs.
