The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring optimal product availability across the retail network while maintaining efficient inventory levels. This role focuses on demand-supply balancing, replenishment planning, and coordination with suppliers, logistics, and commercial teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Supply & Replenishment Planning
- Develop and execute supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and business targets
- Ensure timely replenishment of products across stores and distribution centers
- Monitor stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstock situations
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels in line with company KPIs (e.g., stock cover, aging, waste)
- Track slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock, and recommend corrective actions
- Support stock optimization initiatives to improve working capital
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery
- Monitor supplier performance (lead times, fill rates, reliability)
- Resolve supply disruptions and elevate risks proactively
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with buying/merchandising, demand planning, and logistics teams
- Align supply plans with promotions, seasonal events, and new product launches
- Support store operations with product availability and replenishment needs
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Track KPIs such as service levels, inventory turnover, and forecast accuracy
- Prepare regular reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize ERP/planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for supply planning activities
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function

- Inventory turnover and stock cover
- Reduction in stockouts and excess inventory
- Forecast vs. supply plan alignment
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
- Experience in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management
- Experience within retail or FMCG environments is highly preferred
- Experience working in the Middle East market is an advantage
